Unaging (Syndrome X) @ 11:56 am

Brooke Greenberg is 12.5 years old. However, she looks like she's about 6-12 months old, or at the oldest a handicapped 2 year old.
Does she hold the secret to biological immortality? Not likely. As mentioned in a couple articles, all her life (and even before she was born) she's suffered from severe health problems, almost dying. I think she's more of a biological novelty than anything.

Wow. It always amazes me to see things like this. I'm particularly interested in this bit:

At one point she was diagnosed with a brain tumour the size of a lemon, but it shrank away of its own accord, and Brooke simply woke up.

Perhaps she doesn't hold the secret of immortality, but she may contain a few hints to the regeneration properties necessary to fight some forms of cancer or other tumorous maladies.

Or not. We'll see.

Well, the thing with cancer is that the immune system normally takes care of it, and that it's caused by uncontrolled growth and regeneration.

(I really need to find out why it keeps posting to my old account while I'm signed into my new one)

Ah... I don't actually know very much about cancers (perhaps that'll be my next random study subject), so I was assuming. Even so, a tumor the size of a lemon just disappearing is... odd, so I think there's got to be *something* gained from that. :)
